65% local Mantonegro (25+ year old vines) 28% Cabernet Sauvignon (15+ year old vines) 6% Tempranillo (15+ year old vines). Handpicked from the oldest vines, which are the least productive but most flavorful.
Complex aromas of very ripe red fruits, hints of vanilla, spices, lactose, new French oak. Potent astringency, with a well balanced body, velvety texture and long finish. Color: Deep purple and brilliant.
Aged: 9 months in American Oak barrels + 6 months in French Allier Oak plus another 21 months minimum in the bottle. Ready to drink right away, although this wine will age well (5-7 years)
